Super Saloon Sunday!

This weekend, following on from the Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2, which is still work-in-progress, is the Ford Orion Mk1.  For some time I've been meaning to convert the Mk3, 3 door Escort artwork  into it's sibling stablemate, the Mk1 Orion.  Here are the first 2 off the press, a red and a white Ghia both wearing RS alloys.  I'm going to extend the family to include GL versions too.  Now I've researched that the Orion's rear door is interchangeable with the rear doors of the 5 door Escort hatchback I can soon modify these prints even further to extend the family.  I have quite a thing for the Mk3 Escorts, as they were so very different to the Mk1 & Mk2 that came before.  It was a brave move by Ford at the time but was absolutely the right thing to do.  

It's not uncommon for me to let a car "rest" and move on to another.  It gives me chance to come back to the Cavalier next week with fresh eyes and see it all over again.
