Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2

Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2

Been working on Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2 cars this week. Saloon below, hatch to follow. This is the later version, with the original and first facelift versions to come also.

This art should lead nicely into the hatchback, now I know that the rear doors are identical.  The 2 door version will be as much work as the hatch, moving the B pillar back.  But once done it will cater for this rarer version of the Mk2 and also offer up the possibility of chopping the roof off and creating a drop-top.

An estate could be a possibility but would require further work as the rear door would need altering to make the top rear corner more squared off.  The are very few of these cars left which also might restrict my efforts, as much as I like to cover all of the options I have to consider the time taken v potential sales.

I'm going to need to track down the various special editions and different trims too.  I also need to finalise the wheel types per original, and facelifted versions.  I do enjoy doing the research though.

I've been looking at the CD wheels and it appears that possibly the later ones had a slightly different design.  Around the wheel nuts.  This will require more research and maybe asking around those who are in the know!
